A skillet of pasta being stirred in a bright kitchen

Welcome to LittlePlateDiary

Let’s talk food, shall we?

Well, we hope that’s why you’re here. Our recipes are designed for real, actual, everyday life, and we try to focus on real foods and healthy recipes (which honestly means a lot of different things to us, including the perfect chocolate chip cookie and cheese on cheese, because health is all about balance, right?).

This is the place to find those recipes — everything from our most popular, to meal prep, to Instant Pot recipes, or if you just like, have some sad greens in your fridge to use up and you need some inspiration.

You’re here! Have fun. We hope you find something (many things) you love.

Our story

LittlePlateDiary started as a notebook of recipes written on the backs of grocery receipts. Friends kept asking for the pancakes, the soup, and the cookies, so we began writing them down properly.

Today it is a food blog built around one idea: a good meal does not need a long ingredient list or special equipment. Every recipe is cooked in a home kitchen, adjusted until it works, and written so a beginner can follow it.

Our recipe philosophy

Accessible

Ingredients you can find at a regular grocery store, with swaps when we can.

Tested

Each recipe is made more than once before it is published.

Clear

Steps tell you what to look for, not only how long to wait.

Accessible home cooking

We explain the why behind a step, like resting pancake batter or chilling cookie dough, so you can cook with confidence and adapt recipes to your own kitchen. Learn how we develop and check recipes on the Editorial page.
